New Elementary School Groundbreaking

The District formally broke ground this afternoon on its new elementary school at the corner of 9th Street and South Satus Avenue. Once completed, the modern two-story learning facility will serve the District’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students and will replace the current Satus and Camas Elementary School buildings.
This exciting project was made possible by voters who approved a $33-million bond in 2024. Bond funds have also supported the construction of the new PACE High School, which is nearing completion and is scheduled to open for the 2026–2027 school year.
The new elementary school is expected to be completed in late winter of 2028. Thank you to our community for investing in the future of Wapato students!
